Meet Our DoctorDr. Phillip Johnson

Dr. Johnson is a lifelong resident of Gwinnett County. He attended Georgia State University and the University of Georgia for his undergraduate studies, and then enrolled at the Southern College of Optometry to complete his Doctorate of Optometry. In addition to owning Gwinnett Eye Clinic for 40+ years, he also was the founder and past President of Southern State Eye Care, a multi-state managed care organization.

"Wonderful clinic! I went to Dr. Johnson for years and he is absolutely fantastic. Kind, caring, and very thorough. I had to leave for a few years due to having to move to an ophthalmologist for eye issues but am now finally able to come back to get glasses here again. In the eyeglass department I've only worked with Kathleen, James, and today a new person named Nerissa. All three of them are wonderful.
